The kingdom of the moon, Noctos, is located in the vast valley system at the foot of the Vell Mountains. A bountiful agriculturally based community, they are deeply reverent of the world around them and the peaceful magics that dwell in it. As a result, it is not uncommon to see many strong magic users. The majority of the mages dwelling in Noctos use wind, water, and holy magics to augment their lives on a day-to-day basis.
As far as industry in Noctos is concerned, agriculture and education take the forefront. There is an army, though unlike Diurn, service is not mandatory for anyone. Queen Rhiannon has an honor guard of paladins trained in holy magic by the temple priestesses, and they serve very close to her at all times. Scholars and weavers make up a large portion of the economy.
Like the people of Diurn, Noctosans are very religious. They worship the moon goddess Sina and the temples are maintained by devout priestesses. Likewise, their holy days are also on the equinoxes, though their most holy day actually falls on the Winter Solstice, which is the longest night of the year. Sina priestesses practice celibacy as part of their vows, so sacrifices to the moon goddess consist of moon lilies burned in starglow powder at the temple altars on holy days and at funerals.
As much of the history of their nation's ties with Diurn were lost in the war, they are as clueless about the rift as the nation in the mountains.
