Located high in the Vell Mountains, Diurn is a nation wrought of stone and steel. The people here do not rely heavily on magic, and those that do focus on teh elemnts of fire and earth, while others less commonly focusing in shamanistic spirit magics. Warriors are common in this c ulture. Thi sis also the only nation one will find the noble phoenix.
Industry in Diurn is found mostly in weaponcraft. Though small villages scattered throughout the mountains practice farming to supply food to the kingdom, the main portion of the population deals with livestock and the industries of war. There is heavy competition among the city blacksmiths. To be strong and to defend one's kign and country are among the highest honors to a Diurnan.
Religion is also a major part of their lives. Worshipers of the sun god Sunna, the temples are overseen by highly trained warrior priests. Their holy days are the equinoxes, and the holiest day of their year is the summer solstice - the longest day of the year. Ceremonies to honor Sunna tend to be more sexual in nature, however they are extremely private. Sacrifices must be willing and untouched, and the ceremony is performed by one of the priests in the temple.
Most diurnans don't know why there is a rift between the kingdoms, but follow the practice out of blind faith.
